General Terms & Conditions
1. Enrollment & Eligibility
To ensure all students are legally and physically prepared to drive:
- Documentation: Students must provide a valid Massachusetts RMV issued learner’s permit or driver’s license before their first lesson.
- Physical Readiness: Students must wear corrective lenses if required by their permit.
- Fitness to Drive: Instructors reserve the right to cancel a lesson if a student appears fatigued, ill, or under the influence of any substance.
2. Scheduling & Cancellations
Consistency is key to learning and regular attendance and adherence to scheduled lesson times help students build and retain driving skills over time.
- The 24-Hour Rule: Cancellations or rescheduling requests must be made at least 24 hours in advance.
- Late Cancellations: Lessons cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice will be charged the full lesson fee (or forfeit one prepaid credit).
- No-Show Policy: If a student is more than 15 minutes late, the instructor may leave, and the lesson will be considered a "No-Show" with no refund. Three (3) No-Show will result in the immediate termination of the student’s enrollment.
3. Financial & Refund Policies
- Payment Terms: All lessons or packages must be paid in full prior to the start of the first session. Payments can be made online, in-person, or via Zelle, CashApp, or Venmo.
- Refunds: Any unused lesson credits are refundable upon request and normally takes a couple of business days to process.
- Expiration: Prepaid packages typically expire one year from the date of purchase.
4. Vehicle & Safety Protocols
Safety is the non-negotiable priority.
- Instructor Authority: The instructor has final say on all general driving and maneuvers. If a student refuses a safety command, the lesson ends immediately.
- Video Recording: All lessons are recorded via audio and video for safety and quality assurance. Enrollment constitutes express, irrevocable consent by the student (and their legal guardian, if a minor) to be recorded throughout the duration of the lesson.
- Vehicle Maintenance: All school vehicles are equipped with dual-brake systems and undergo monthly safety inspections.
- Electronic Devices: Cell phone use (including hands-free) is strictly prohibited for students while the vehicle is in operation.
5. Road Test Policies
Sponsorship for the official road test is exclusively available to students who have completed a minimum of one (1) hour of professional instruction with our school. Sponsorship remains at the sole discretion of the school and is strictly contingent upon the following criteria:
- Readiness Assessment: The school will only sponsor a student for a road test if the instructor deems them "road test-ready."
- Documentation: Students are responsible for bringing their own original physical permits to the test centers.
6. Conduct & Environment
We enforce a zero-tolerance policy for disrespect. Students must maintain a professional and respectful demeanor toward instructors and other students to ensure a focused and safe training environment.
- Zero Tolerance: Any form of harassment, verbal abuse, or discrimination toward instructors or other students will result in immediate dismissal and refund of any remaining credit/balance.
- Inappropriate Conduct: Any behavior deemed unprofessional or threatening will result in a permanent ban from the school.
- Attire: Students must wear appropriate attire for lessons and sturdy, closed-toe shoes (no flip-flops, high heels, or heavy boots) to ensure proper pedal control.
